A REPEATED CALL TO LISTEN, ACT JUSTLY, AND LET WORDS BECOME DEEDS
Surah Ash-Shu’ara
Ash-Shu'ara consoles the Prophet amid rejection and follows seven messengers confronting oppression, inherited worship, class prejudice, tyranny, violated trust, threatened expulsion, and dishonest trade. Its recurring refrain joins divine might with mercy. The closing passage affirms the Quran's source and distinguishes irresponsible speech from faithful poetry joined to good action.
